Potent anti-inflammatory drugs, known as steroids, are injected into the area of difficulty to reduce swelling and alleviate pain. Injections are administered comfortably, with the use of local anesthetics. Patients are ready to go home within the hour.
We also use a variety of injection tests, including nerve root and facet blocks as well as discography. These assist us to accurately determine precisely where the pain is located.
