Spinal Fusion

Fusion eliminates motion between spinal levels by fusing the bone together. Spinal implants are utilized to stabilize the vertebra until the fusion, or bone regrowth, occurs.

When Is It Done?

There are many conditions including arthritic disorder of the spine, instability of the spine, scoliosis and fractures that require a spinal fusion.  Your NJSC physician will help you understand what procedure is best for you.
