In all cases, our goal is to avoid a surgical procedure if possible. Surgery is only considered if non-surgical treatments fail to alleviate the condition, or if the diagnosis clearly indicates that surgery is the single best treatment option. We always recommend the simplest treatment approach.
When surgery is indicated, we consider the least invasive procedures first. Our surgeons are trained in the most state-of-the-art techniques available, as well as more complex procedures such as spinal reconstruction and Artificial Disc Replacement.
Bloodless Surgery
New, special techniques now permit patients to undergo most major spinal procedures without the need for a blood transfusion. Patients with religious restrictions can now safely undergo procedures that were previously unavailable.
